NEW LIFE

Located in San Giovanni al Natisone, within the historic heart of the Chair District in Udine (Italy)n, New Life embodies the excellence of 100% Made in Italy manufacturing. Founded in 2009 through the merger of two artisanal workshops active since 1970, the company is driven by the entrepreneurial vision of Ondina and Alessio Battisacco, alongside Andrea Costantini. New Life seamlessly fuses deep heritage craftsmanship with cutting-edge, fully in-house industrial processes, controlling the entire pipeline from initial concept to final production. Operating exclusively within the global contract market—spanning hospitality, fine dining, bars, marine, office, and conference sectors—the company engineers furniture designed for collective well-being, ensuring that aesthetics and functionality remain uncompromised even in high-traffic environments. This extraordinary manufacturing flexibility allows New Life to act as a tailored partner for architects and interior designers, offering complete customization of materials, finishes, and upholstery for both boutique scales and massive bespoke commissions.

The brand's design identity unfolds across five core collections. The Fixedlegs and Multilegs lines offer contemporary, elegant seating for public and workspace environments; And explores creative modularity for fluid seating configurations; while Table System delivers highly customizable tables through a versatile matrix of tops and bases. The majority of this catalog is envisioned by Alan de la Coba, an in-house team of four designers led by Design Director Alessio Battisacco. Complementing these is the Architect collection, born from prestigious collaborations with external designers—such as architects Marco Zito and Alessandro Ghiringhelli—marrying their creative talent with the company's technical expertise. Historically recognized for its mastery of wood manufacturing, New Life has recently entered a new evolutionary phase by incorporating recycled aluminum for its outdoor ranges, diversifying its material horizons while maintaining its core commitment to high-end quality.

For New Life, sustainability is not an abstract concept but a rigorous, transparent business model. Publishing an annual Sustainability Report since 2021, the company formalized its environmental and social governance by transitioning into a Benefit Corporation (Società Benefit) in 2025, legally pursuing shared value for its workforce, community, and the planet. Upon request, wood-based products utilize FSC®-certified timber sourced from responsibly managed local forests. This circular methodology extends to factory waste, which is upcycled to generate in-house thermal energy and create design accessories, and to logistics, utilizing packaging made from at least 70% recycled cardboard and protective wraps containing 50% recycled, fully recyclable plastics.

This ethical and ecological trajectory is validated by strict international certifications. Certified ISO 9001 since 2013, the company has completed the rigorous data collection for its organizational LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), which is currently undergoing its final audit phase. The safety, quality, and durability of the best-selling pieces are independently verified by Catas certification. Furthermore, New Life meticulously curates its chemical and textile supply chain, prioritizing Certipur-certified foam, Blue Angel and Naturally Leather certified hides, and upholstery fabrics bearing Oeko-Tex, Ecolabel, Leed, Greenguard, and Gold Rated certifications, ensuring total environmental transparency and healthy indoor air quality.
